On 1st November 2016 Dingley’s Promise was delighted to receive a cheque for £5,000 from Primark to mark the opening of their new store in Broad Street, Reading.

Dingley’s Promise CEO, Catherine McLeod MBE; Reading Centre Manager, Hannah Spence; and Trustee Ian Mackinder; were welcomed to the store before its official opening by Janice Boyle, Head of People & Culture, Retail UK; Adam French, Area Manager and Primark Reading Store Manager, Michael Sandhu.   After the cheque presentation, the charity staff were invited to tour the store and to be behind the scenes as the store opened its doors to its first customers.

“This is such a wonderful donation towards the work of Dingley’s Promise and will make such a difference to the children and families that we support”, said Centre Manager Hannah Spence.  “We hope to forge an ongoing relationship with the Manager and staff of the local store, and we look forward to welcoming them to our Centre in the future so that they can meet some of the families and children; and see what their donation has made possible.”
