Customers of The Plough on the Green made an amazing donation of £1,850 towards the work of our West Berkshire Centre, which they raised from several activities over the festive season.
Louise Farmer, Dingley’s Centre Manager, received the cheque from Jane Wells and Plough on the Green Manager, Ken Gammon recently.
“The Plough on the Green is such a warm and welcoming environment, and we always love coming along to meet Ken and his customers. They are such supporters of the work of Dingley’s Promise and this latest donation will enable us to buy some specialist resources from our “Wish List” and towards a larger Garden Project which we are currently planning” said Louise.
Louise added; “Without the support of people like Jane, Ken and the customers of The Plough on the Green, we would not be able to provide the life-changing support that we give to children with additional needs and their families. We cannot thank them enough for their loyal and constant support for our work.”
The pub holds a quiz night every Sunday evening at 8.30pm – Teams of 4 are welcome, and entrance fee is £1 per head. Dingley’s Promise have plans to enter a team (or two!) and look forward to seeing some of you there!
