BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM VOLUNTEERS GIVE DINGLEY A NEW COAT

June 16, 2016

Boehringer Ingelheim Ltd of Bracknell had a Volunteering Day during May.  Around 130 people from the company volunteered their services at 13 different projects and charities across the area.  As part of that day Rosie Stanley, Internal Communications Executive from the company, and ten of her colleagues, came to Dingley’s Promise in Wokingham in May to give Dingley a facelift!  As their visit was just after Dingley’s re-launch, it was a great opportunity to paint the Centre in its new colours.

“Everyone was delighted to be able to do something positive for a local charity, and to make such a difference to the rooms”, said Rosie.  “It was very rewarding to support a cause which helps children, with additional needs, and their families. The Dingley staff were very welcoming and joined in with the painting so it was a really good team effort.”

Zora Morgan, Deputy Centre Manager, said “The staff from Boehringer Ingelheim have volunteered at Dingley several times over the past few years and the children and staff are delighted that they chose to come here again. The Centre now looks so much brighter and fresher.”

“My own twin boys attend for two sessions each week at Dingley, so it is a charity that is very close to my heart,” said Rosie “and I am so pleased that my colleagues wanted to volunteer at the Centre to do this great piece of work for the charity.  We wish Dingley’s Promise well!”

Here are the volunteer group, having a well-earned tea break during the day (with paint rollers still at the ready!)
