Starting 2018 with a BANG!

We’re proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for Charity of the Year in the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards.

Two hundred and twenty people will be at the ceremony for the celebration of the year. The sell-out gala event is set to start off a brilliant year in business for the region – and kick off 2018 in style.  Nominees will gather in The Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, at Ascot, on 31st January to hear the winners in 13 categories – and one being hailed Outstanding Business of the Year.

It is organised by South West Expo and backed by The Business Exchange as media partner for its 1st year.

Locally based Mary Flavelle (Business Woman of 2017) is the host. Mary Flavelle is commonly known throughout the UK as the ‘Queen of Networks’. It is often said that who Mary doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing! Throughout her lengthy career Mary has had various radio and TV appearances. The following are just some of the roles she has held:  Ambassador for Women, Chairman of the East Berkshire branch of Federation of Small Businesses, Head Judge for the Young Enterprise scheme and Judge at Lloyds TSB Enterprise Awards for London and South East.

Tiny Tina Turner and her six piece band will provide the entertainment. She has worked on some big shows, and with some of the biggest names. Tiny Tina Turner is one of Europe’s best Tina Turner impersonators. She has the voice and the mannerisms which really do reproduce the stage charisma of Tina. Nominees can expect to be entertained by Miri and her high energy six piece band playing all the popular Tina Turner songs, as well as a few other favourites along the way! Capture the simply the best moment as Miri and her band delivers a pulsating show, emulating the sounds of the greatest ever female Rock.

Dragon’s Den 2017 Superstar Julianne Ponan will deliver the inspiration and motivation on the night through her keynote speech.  Julianne secured an £75,000 investment offer from Deborah Meaden. Juliane is an Award Winning Young Entrepreneur and Branding Expert. Julianne has won The Guardian’s “Business Leader of the Year award” and has also been awarded “Young Person in Business Award” by the FSB. Julianne is the youngest winner of the National Natwest Everywoman Artemis Award for Women Entrepreneurs.
