Our Annual Fundraising Ball was held on 4th March and raised over £11,000 !

Lady Catherine Stevenson our Patron; Chairman, Dave Ormrod; and CEO, Catherine McLeod MBE welcomed local dignitaries, parents, staff and supporters to a “Roaring Twenties” themed Dinner and Ball held at The Hilton Hotel in Reading.

Local BBC Berkshire Sports personality, Ady Williams, acted as Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer for the event and The Mayor of Reading, Councillor Mohammed Ayub attended; accompanied by his daughter, The Mayoress.

Dave Ormrod, Chair of Dingley’s Promise said “Our Ball this year was one of the most successful for several years and, thanks to our many supporters and donors; and a Big Lottery Fund “Celebrate England” Grant, we were able to raise a significant sum towards our work.  It was such a pleasure to see our staff, parents and supporters enjoying time together and celebrating the life-changing work that we undertake every day here at Dingley’s Promise.  It was a particular pleasure to Lady Catherine and myself that we could present Awards to our Staff and Supporters, without whom we could not operate.”  Dave went onto say: “Lady Catherine has announced her intention of stepping down as our Patron this year, so it was particularly fitting that not only was this a successful Ball, but that she was able to present the Awards and to say a personal word to everyone within the charity.”
