NEWBURY, UK – 14th October 2016 — Dingley’s Promise, a recognised provider of life changing support to under 5’s with additional needs and disabilities and their families was delighted to receive a cheque for £5,000 from Edward Billington & Sons – the parent group of local company, EPC.

A group of parents, children and staff from Dingley’s Promise were welcomed to EPC at their office and production premises on Greenham Business Park on Friday afternoon, where the children iced Halloween biscuits and enjoyed some time with the company’s Product Developers Rosie Hancock and Shini Karandawala as well as Brand Manager, Joanne Walsh and Marketing Manager, Andrea Anderson.  The whole event was organized by long-time supporter, Di Lee, of EPC.  During the visit, EPC’s Managing Director, James Logan, presented a cheque for £5,000 to Dingley’s Promise Centre Manager, Louise Farmer and CEO, Catherine McLeod MBE.

Staff from Dingley’s Promise were delighted to speak with Andre Grobler, whose son attended Dingley’s Promise some four years ago. They were particularly pleased to learn about his progress within mainstream education in Aldermaston, as one of the main focus areas for the charity is to create individual and clear pathways to inclusion, to enable as many children as possible to transition into mainstream education.  To hear, first hand, about a former pupil was extremely rewarding for the staff.

EPC have supported Dingley’s Promise for several years now and were instrumental in the charity securing a Grant from The Newman’s Own Foundation – another company within the Edward Billington Group.  Today’s wonderful donation is the latest in their ongoing, and extremely valuable, support. Local companies are such important supporters of the work of Dingley’s Promise, and EPC are a prime example of how business can work in partnership with charity to make a real difference to local communities.

As everyone departed, all the adults received a goodie bag of luscious EPC products, which everyone looks forward to enjoying!

James Logan, MD of EPC, said “Everyone here at English Provender knows about the wonderful work that happens at Dingley’s Promise and we are all so delighted to be able to contribute towards the life changing differences that we know you make to the children and families with whom you work.  We have loved having you here today and we hope that you have all enjoyed yourselves too.”

Centre Manager, Louise Farmer said, “The support that we receive from EPC has been wonderful and they have become so close to our hearts.  We love having visits to our Centre from their staff, so it has been really lovely for us to be able to come to see them in their own environment.  The children and Mums have enjoyed being here – and to receive such a wonderful donation has been the real icing on the biscuit!  It will make such a difference to our work.”  Dad, Charlie Kowalski, whose son Freddie was part of the visit, said “Thank you EPC – this donation is greatly appreciated – as is The Proper Pickle!”
